Form N-Q

What is it: Form N-Q is filed by registered management investment companies to report their portfolio holdings quarterly (1st and 3rd fiscal quarter). The information will be made public by the SEC.

Filing Time: No later than 60 days after the close of the first and third fiscal quarters.

Related Form(s):
Form NSAR-A: Similar to N-Q, but report at the end of the first six months of each fiscal year.
Form NSAR-B: Similar to N-Q, but report at the end of the each fiscal year. The form also includes the company's annual/semi-annual shareholder reports.
Form NSAR-BT: Transition report filed by registered management investment companies on Form NSAR-B to report change of fiscal year-end.
Form NSAR-U: Filed annually by unit investment trust to report financial information. The information will be made public by the SEC.
Form NT-NSAR: Notice that a company is unable to file N-SAR on time. NT NSAR extends the filing deadline by 15 days. However, this does not guarantee that the additional deadline will be met. Investors should be cautious about late filing caused by possible accounting issue.
